E. Millicent Bailey died on January 14th in Napa, Ca. Millicent was born on March 14, 1924 in Norwalk, CT to Sanders Dorr and Millicent Barren. She grew up with her 5 siblings in Norwalk, CT. She is survived by her sister Violet Rubino of Norwalk, CT. Millicent was an executive secretary with Rand Corporation, Hills Brothers Coffee and her brother’s aviation magazine. She was very proud of her New England roots and her membership in Daughters of the American Revolution DAR. Millicent married PW Bailey (Biff/Bill of Southport, CT in 1974. They had many happy years together in Connecticut, Florida and California and they traveled the world. She was very patriotic and a true entrepreneur and they bought, sold and remodeled several homes. She had even owned and operated a small motel in Manhattan Beach in the 1960’s. Millicent was a loving wife, step mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by Mary Jane Bowker (Dennis), Peter Bailey (Becky), John Bailey (Vivian) of Texas and Mark Bailey of Las Vegas. Her 6 grandchildren Dane Bowker Washington DC, Austin Bowker (Carla) San Francisco, Ben Bailey Napa, Sarah Glynn (Brian) San Francisco, Rachel (Pio) Arevalo Santa Rosa, Jessica Renzi-Bailey Santa Rosa. Her 5 great grandchildren Malena, Paloma, Felix Bowker. Cecilia and Amelia Arevalo. Millicent loved reading and her time volunteering at the Napa Library.
