Robert Carter Cody December 21, 1922 July 29, 2013 Robert Cody passed away peacefully July 29 from natural causes at the age of 90. He was born December 21, 1922 in Los Angeles to Max and Mai Cody. On July 1, 1967 Bob married June Bohler in Las Vegas. They resided in Los Angeles until their move to Napa in 1987 to be closer to their family. Bob worked a variety of jobs throughout his life. His last job before retirement was as a security guard at Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles. He loved to talk about his friendships with the Hollywood celebrities whose boats he watched over. Cody, as his friends called him, also loved to sing. He was known to break into a lively version of "Oh Danny Boy" at any time or place. After moving to Napa his favorite pastime was playing billiards with his buddies at The Meadows and the Napa Senior Center. Bob was preceded in death by his wife June, his mother Mai, father Max, and step-mother Vi. He is survived by step-sons Jack (Carol) Kemper of Benicia, Steve (Camille) Kemper of Fresno, brother Bruce (Tyne) Cody of Hawaii, grandchildren Edward, Todd, Vincent, and Stacey , and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We would like to acknowledge and thank all the wonderful caregivers who took care of Bob in his final years at the Camino Alto Residence facility and most recently at Aragon Hills Care Home. Their help, support, and loving care of Bob meant so much to us. Thank you all! There were no services at Bob's request.
