Shirley Sue DeLong

April 6, 1944 - February 19, 2013

Shirley Sue DeLong, 68, of Napa, formerly of Santa Rosa, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at a local convalescent center surrounded by her family. Shirley was born April 6, 1944 in San Francisco, the daughter of the late John Walter and Stella Lucille Huls Dean. She was a 1962 graduate of Sequoia Hills High School in Redwood City and soon after married and started her family. A homemaker for most of her years, she is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter Michelle Hendricks, her husband Chris, and their children Courtney, Tyler, Jordan, and Madison; daughter Kim Ziebell and her husband Bill; sons, Henry and Tony Padilla; sister, Ruth Petty; two brothers, Rich Dean and his wife Shirley Ann, Walter Dean and his wife Marge. Shirley was preceded in death by two sisters, Addona McGoon and Deanna Fletcher; and by her brother Donald "Donny" Dean. A member of the Baptist Church, Shirley loved the Lord, and would be pleased if memorials were made to the donor's favorite church or community of faith.
