Robert Ora Patterson

Robert (Bob) Patterson, 69, passed away suddenly at his home in Napa on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Bob was born November 4, 1946 in San Francisco. He was adopted at birth by Robert and Evelyn Patterson of Lodi, California. Bob grew up in Lodi and attended local schools graduating from Lodi Union High School in 1964. He attended Cal Poly, Pomona and San Francisco State University, majoring in Civil Engineering. Bob moved to the Central Valley and managed Oakdale Concrete and after that Warner Sand and Gravel in Oakdale, California for several years. He became a real estate broker and was a partner in a real estate development near Copperopolis selling vacation lots at Blackjack. He then worked as a broker at Century 21 in Modesto. Bob was a past member of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, serving as its President. He was an avid reader of all printed matter, on any subject, and had a quick wit. In 2002, Bob became re-acquainted with Keren Siebrass Goeschel of Napa, after they originally met in the 3rd grade in 1954 in Lodi and went through elementary and high school together. They were married on February 8, 2003 at Diamond Creek Vineyards in Calistoga, California. Bob relocated to Napa where he was self-employed as an Estate Manager from 2003 until the present. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert A. and Evelyn Strother Patterson and Keren's daughter, Laura Goeschel Gomez. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Keren Goeschel Patterson of Napa and son-in-law Victor Gomez and grandson Gabriel Gomez of Dixon. As an Eagle Scout, Bob was a happy "Bobpa" to Gabriel helping with his numerous Cub Scout and school projects. He is also survived by his children from a previous marriage, son Erik Patterson in Virginia and his 3 children and daughter Morgan Dehart in Sacramento and her 2 children. Per Bob's wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes scattered on San Francisco Bay. As he stated, "I started in San Francisco and I would like to end there, completing the full circle of my life." No services are planned but a memorial gathering will be scheduled in the future. Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
